How to Register To Vote In Idaho State

As a resident of Idaho state, you can register to vote for the 60th US presidential election (to be held on Nov 5th, 2024) using the following steps:

Confirm Your Voter Eligibility

To register you must meet the following criteria:
  • be a US Citizen (including those born in Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands)
  • have resided in Idaho and in the county for 30 days prior to the day of election
  • be at least 18 years old
  • not have been convicted of a felony, and without having been restored to the rights of citizenship, or confined in prison on conviction of a criminal offense

Online Registration

To register online you need:
  • An Idaho driver's license or Idaho state ID card.
  • The last 4 digits of your SSN.
  • A date of birth.
  • A valid email address.
Navigate to Idaho's online voter registration and complete the form before the Online Registration Deadline: October 11th, 2024

Mail-in Registration

  1. Download the Federal Voter Registration Form
  2. Print out the form (pages 4 and 5) and fill it out using our helpful tips below.
    • Fill out the form with your personal information.
    • #6 ID Number. Enter the number from your Idaho driver's license card or state identifcation card issued by the Idaho Transportation Department. If you have no such card, enter the last 4 digits of your social security number.
    • #7 Choice of Party. Unless the political party chooses to have an open primary, affiliating with a political party is required if you wish to participate in a party's primary election.
    • #8 Race or Ethnic Group. Leave Blank.
    • #9 Signature Sign and date the application to attest the data you entered is true and that you meet eligibility requirements.
  3. Mail the completed form to the following address. The completed form must be received by October 11th, 2024.
