How to Register To Vote In Tennessee State
As a resident of Tennessee state, you can register to vote for the 60th US presidential election (to be held on Nov 5th, 2024) using the following steps:

Confirm Your Voter Eligibility
To register you must meet the following criteria:
- be a US Citizen (including those born in Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands)
- be a resident of Tennessee
- be at least 18 years old on or before the next election
- not have been convicted of a felony, but if convicted, your eligibility to register and vote depends upon the crime you were convicted of and the date of your conviction. For more information about this process, call 877-850-4959 or visit https://sos.tn.gov/ restoration. If your conviction has been expunged, you are not considered to have a felony conviction.
- not be adjudicated incompetent by a court of competent jurisdiction (or have been restored to legal capacity)
Online Registration
To register online you need:
- A Tennessee driver's license or Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security ID.
- The Social Security number.
- Information on the individual's current residence to verify eligibility.
Navigate to Tennessee's online voter registration and complete the form before the Online Registration Deadline: October 7th, 2024
Mail-in Registration
- Download the Federal Voter Registration Form
- Print out the form (pages 4 and 5) and fill it out using our helpful tips below.
- Fill out the form with your personal information.
- #6 ID Number. Your full social security number is required. Social security number, if any, is required for purposes of identifcation and to avoid duplicate registration (TCA 2.2.116).
- #7 Choice of Party. You do not have to register with a party if you want to take part in that party's primary election, caucus, or convention.
- #8 Race or Ethnic Group. Completing this box is optional.

- American Indian or Alaskan Native

- Black, not of Hispanic Origin

- White, not of Hispanic Origin
- Other
- #9 Signature Sign and date the application to attest the data you entered is true and that you meet eligibility requirements.
- Mail the completed form to the following address. The completed form must be received by October 6th, 2024.
