How to Register To Vote In Kansas State

As a resident of Kansas state, you can register to vote for the 60th US presidential election (to be held on Nov 5th, 2024) using the following steps:

Confirm Your Voter Eligibility

To register you must meet the following criteria:
  • be a US Citizen (including those born in Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands)
  • be a resident of Kansas
  • be 18 by the next election
  • have completed the terms of your sentence if convicted of a felony; a person serving a sentence for a felony conviction is ineligible to vote
  • not claim the right to vote in any other location or under any other name
  • not be excluded from voting by a court of competent jurisdiction

Online Registration

To register online you need:
  • A valid Kansas driver's license or non-driver's identification card.
  • The residential address where you are registered to vote.
  • Your date of birth.
  • The last four digits of your Social Security number if you do not have a Kansas driver's license or non-driver's ID.
Navigate to Kansas' online voter registration and complete the form before the Online Registration Deadline: October 15th, 2024

Mail-in Registration

  1. Download the Federal Voter Registration Form
  2. Print out the form (pages 4 and 5) and fill it out using our helpful tips below.
    • Fill out the form with your personal information.
    • #6 ID Number. Your completed voter registration form must contain your state issued driver's license number or nondriver's identifcation card number. If you do not have a driver's license or nondriver's identifcation card, you must include the last four digits of your social security number. If you do not have a driver's license or a nondriver's identifcation card or social security number, please write "NONE" on the form. A unique identifying number will be assigned by the State. The number you provide will be used for administrative purposes only and will not be disclosed to the public. (KSA 25-2309).
    • #7 Choice of Party. You must register with a party if you want to take part in that party's primary election, caucus, or convention.
    • #8 Race or Ethnic Group. Leave Blank.
    • #9 Signature Sign and date the application to attest the data you entered is true and that you meet eligibility requirements.
  3. Mail the completed form to the following address. The completed form must be postmarked by October 15th, 2024.
