How to Register To Vote In Texas State
As a resident of Texas state, you can register to vote for the 60th US presidential election (to be held on Nov 5th, 2024) using the following steps:

Confirm Your Voter Eligibility
To register you must meet the following criteria:
- be a US Citizen (including those born in Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands)
- be a resident of the county in which the application for registration is made
- be at least 17 years and 10 months old (you must be 18 to vote)
- not be convicted of a felony, or if a convicted felon, you must have fully discharged your punishment, including any incarceration, parole, supervision, period of probation or be pardoned.
- have not been declared mentally incompetent by fnal judgment of a court of law
Online Registration
To register online you need:
- Texas Driver's License or Personal Identification Number issued by the Department of Public Safety.
- The last 4 digits of your SSN if you do not have a Texas Driver's License or Personal Identification Number.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Resident of the county where you submit the application.
- Be at least 17 years and 10 months old on the date your application is submitted, and 18 years of age on Election Day.
Navigate to Texas' online voter registration and complete the form before the Online Registration Deadline: October 7th, 2024
Mail-in Registration
- Download the Federal Voter Registration Form
- Print out the form (pages 4 and 5) and fill it out using our helpful tips below.
- Fill out the form with your personal information.
- #6 ID Number. You must provide your driver's license number to register to vote. If you do not have a driver's license then you will have to provide at least the last four digits of your social security number. If you have neither, please write "NONE" on the form. A unique identifying number will instead be assigned to you by your State.
- #7 Choice of Party. You do not have to register with a party if you want to take part in that party's primary election, caucus, or convention.
- #8 Race or Ethnic Group. Leave Blank.
- #9 Signature Sign and date the application to attest the data you entered is true and that you meet eligibility requirements.
- Mail the completed form to the following address. The completed form must be received by October 6th, 2024.
