How to Register To Vote In North Carolina State
As a resident of North Carolina state, you can register to vote for the 60th US presidential election (to be held on Nov 5th, 2024) using the following steps:

Confirm Your Voter Eligibility
To register you must meet the following criteria:
- be a US Citizen (including those born in Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands)
- be a resident of North Carolina and the county in which you live for at least 30 days prior to the election
- be 18 years of age by the day of the next general election
- have your rights of citizenship restored if you have been convicted of a felony
- not be registered or vote in any other county or state
Online Registration
To register online you need:
- North Carolina driver's license or DMV-issued ID card number.
- The last 4 digits of your SSN.
- Residence address in North Carolina.
Navigate to North Carolina's online voter registration and complete the form before the Online Registration Deadline: October 11th, 2024
Mail-in Registration
- Download the Federal Voter Registration Form
- Print out the form (pages 4 and 5) and fill it out using our helpful tips below.
- Fill out the form with your personal information.
- #6 ID Number. Provide your North Carolina driver's license number, or North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles ID number. If you do not have a driver's license, then list the last four digits of your social security number.
- #7 Choice of Party. You must register with a party to vote in that party's primary unless that party allows unaffiliated voters to vote in its primary. If you indicate a political party that is not a qualifed party, or indicate no party, you will be listed as "unaffiliated".
- #8 Race or Ethnic Group. Race or Ethnic Group. You are required to fll in this box. However, your application will not be rejected if you fail to do so.

- American Indian or Alaskan Native
- Asian or Pacifc Islander
- Black, not of Hispanic Origin
- Hispanic
- Multi-racial
- White, not of Hispanic Origin

- #9 Signature Sign and date the application to attest the data you entered is true and that you meet eligibility requirements.
- Mail the completed form to the following address. The completed form must be postmarked by October 11th, 2024.
