How to Register To Vote In Washington State
As a resident of Washington state, you can register to vote for the 60th US presidential election (to be held on Nov 5th, 2024) using the following steps:

Confirm Your Voter Eligibility
To register you must meet the following criteria:
- be a US Citizen (including those born in Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands)
- be a legal resident of Washington State, your county and precinct for 30 days immediately preceding the election in which you want to vote
- be at least 18 years old by Election Day
- If you were convicted of a felony in Washington State, another state, or in federal court, your right to vote will be restored automatically as long as you are not currently serving a sentence of total confnement in prison. You may re-register.
- 16 and 17-year-olds can sign up as Future Voters and be automatically registered to vote when they qualify
Online Registration
To register online you need:
- a Washington State driver license or ID card.
- The last 4 digits of your SSN (if you do not have a Washington State driver license or ID card).
- A current Washington State residential address.
Navigate to Washington's online voter registration and complete the form before the Online Registration Deadline: October 28th, 2024
Mail-in Registration
- Download the Federal Voter Registration Form
- Print out the form (pages 4 and 5) and fill it out using our helpful tips below.
- Fill out the form with your personal information.
- #6 ID Number. You must provide your Washington driver's license or ID card number. If you do not have a Washington driver's license or ID card, you must provide the last four digits of your Social Security Number. Failure to provide this information may prevent your registration from being processed.
- #7 Choice of Party. You are not required to designate your party affiliation to register in Washington.
- #8 Race or Ethnic Group. Leave Blank.
- #9 Signature Sign and date the application to attest the data you entered is true and that you meet eligibility requirements.
- Mail the completed form to the following address. The completed form must be received by October 28th, 2024.
